Three generations, one shop on North Auburn Street.

  1. 1985

    A Kennewick garage and $200 for parts

    Terry and Bonetta Day started Dayco Heating & Air Conditioning out of their Kennewick garage. Terry did the work. Bonetta kept her day job and did the books in her spare time. Their teenage son, Ken, helped out after school and on weekends.

  2. 1990

    Ken joins full time

    After three years of college, Ken Day joined the business full time. A year later the Tri-City Herald profiled the family under the headline “Growing Kennewick firm enjoying best Days”.

  3. Today

    Third generation, same family

    Ken Day is President. Dayco is a third-generation, family-owned company with its shop and fireplace showroom at 11 North Auburn Street, and a crew that turned out in full for the 40th anniversary photograph.

Founding details as the Tri-City Herald reported them on March 14, 1991.
